Hello my lovely marshmallows,
HAPPY NEW YEAR! May 2013 bring you health, happiness and love:)
Continuing...in Japan there are many fashion styles apart from Gyaru. There are also the Kei's(sounds so evil wtf?). There are many types of kei, even gyaru-kei.Kei is the fashion that is usualy worn in Harajuku in Japan ( one of the biggest fashion districts in Japan and is known World Wide) Gyaru-kei is the most basic form of gyaru style. Kei's are not gyaru though so don't get them confused.
First off Gyaru-Kei. It's the most simplest forms of kei. It's basically the gyaru fashion style. Doesn't have any specific requirements just the basics like they eyes, neat put together hair, good fashion and shoes, nails etc etc. I don't really have to detail this, you'll understand from the pictures what I mean :
Now for Gyary-O-kei, this is the male version of gyaru. Yes, there is such a thing. These are guys that are very fashionable and take care of their appearance wear perhaps make-up and are always dressed nicely. I haven't really talked about gyaru guys before, so I will do another post on Gyaru guys. Here are some pictures for now:
Now for Fairy-kei. Fairy kei in some ways is like hime gyaru. What I mean by that is, that it's very kiddy-girly like. The major difference I would say is the over-use of accessories and that you dye your hair with pastel colors; apart from that you use lots of patterns and accessories. Hime is definitely more princess like where as fairy kei is more fairy-tale like and colorful. And you have to note the excessive use of pastel colors.
If you are a fan of Japanese music, like japanese rock, you will be familiar with visual kei. It consists of striking makeup, unusual hair styles and flamboyant costumes, similar to Western glam rock and glam metal Andragyny stlyle is also a very popular aspect of the style.
There is also Anguro Kei , which is similar to Visual Kei, but they usualy wear only black(maybe a bit of white and other colors, but dark ones) I couldn't find any pictures for Anguro Kei so I just put the ones for Visual Kei.

Very accurate! |
Oshare Kei, is what they call the happy-go-lucky version of Visual kei. It consists of the same style but with more bright colors rather than dark ones.
Cult Party Kei is based on the Western religion fashion style. It consists of crosses, silky white lace and very light pastel colors, usually beige, pink, white, yellow. They don't really show skin and cover up.
Mori Girl consists of flowy fabrics, usually organic fabrics such as linen, wool and cotton. The style is very close to Hobo-chic and they usually wear light pastel or neutral color clothing. They tend to wear accessories or patterns with a natural theme.
Dolly Kei is a newly created type of Harajuku street fashion. It is inspired by the middle ages and old fairy-tales. They some times wear Crosses and other religious symbols.
That's all I have today. Sorry I have't posted in a year wtf? but I've been really busy with school, and I have the immune system of a gold fish and I get sick really easily -_-''
I'm going to dye my hair soon so I'll try and review the product and maybe I'll do a how-to video ;D
