Gyaru Eye Lashes~

Hello everyone,
I hope you're all doing good. The weather in Cyprus has been crazy lately! It's so hot and yet 2 days ago it rained cats and dogs! Thank god that it is also quite windy so you don't feel the rays of the sun burning through your body's Vitamin D and giving you skin cancer.
Any way, today's post is going to be on a loved topic of mine. FALSE LASHES! Now, to be a gyaru there are 4 things that you have to have no matter what. 1) Being bold with fashion choices
                                                                            2) Master of makeup and hair
                                                                            3) Circle lenses
                                                                            4) False lashes
So why do lashes play such a big role in the gyaru style? Normally people only wear false lashes to make their natural lashes look thicker. Gyarus wear them for that purpose but also to re-shape their eyes.

Most gyarus use Japanese brands for eyelashes. Here are the most popular brands:

Diamond Lash: It has different series. They have dramatic eyelashes, it is one of my personal favorite brands. The price for the lashes is around 13 dollars and you get 5 pairs! Here are the colors of the packages.

Dolly Wink: They are designed by popular gyaru model Tsubasa Masuwaka. They are the most natural looking from all the lashes. The price is around 15 dollars for 2 pairs. I wouldn't recommend them for newbies with false eyelashes because they are super thin and soft.

Another brand is Jewelove. They have dramatic lashes. I haven't gotten the chance to try them out yet, but according to reviews they are good.

Eyemazing also has really nice eyelashes. They have very natural and also very dramatic eyelashes. They are easy to put on so I recommend them for beginners.

There are MANY more Japanese eyelash brands, but these are the most popular ones.
This is all for this post

New upcoming segments on my blog!

Hello everyone!
it's been a while (as per usual). I'm not going to make excuses such as ''I don't have time to blog'', so I'm going to be honest. I have nothing to blog about! I usually talk about gyaru fashion, but where I live there aren't any gyarus (or to my knowledge) so I don't have a lot to talk about. So I've decided to come up with a few things to update my blog more frequently. Not all of them have to do with fashion, but some are related to it. I don't want this post to be long so I will get straight to the point.
To start off, I've been recently thinking (as I have mentioned before in some of my posts) to do some make-up/hair tutorials on YouTube for gyaru make-up/hair. But I don't really have the courage yet to do such a thing. So I was thinking of other things to do so I can do more frequent posts. I decided that once a month I will upload my Outfits Of The Month. Why only once a month? For starters, I usually have school 5 days a week 7:30-1:35 and at my school we have to wear a uniform and we're not allowed make-up -_-''. And after that I either have lessons, go to my friends house or stay home watching anime(personal favorite!). The only time I go out is on the weekends and that's when I get gyaru-ed-up. So I will be uploading the outfits that I wore that month^^
Next I hope to do some reviews on products that I buy. I recently purchased some circle lenses and I've been really satisfied with them so I will review them, soon. I will also be buying some other things so hopefully when I get them I will review them.
Finally, music plays a HUGE role in my life. 89.9999% of the time I am awake I listen to music. Even in class. Side note: I am a very lazy and bad student *scratches head*. In order to satisfy my love for music and blogging every week or two I will be blogging about what songs I've been listening to. I listen to a whole variety of songs from K-pop to Rock/Metal so those blogs shall be very interesting (I hope)
This is all I've come up with till now. If you have any suggestions for blogs you would like me to do just let me know^^ I've almost finished my post comparing Ulzzang to Gyaru so that will be up soon. Anyway, that is all for now, talk to you in my next post.

Dariya Palty: Sparkling Blonde Review~

Hello Sunshines,
it's been a while....Yeah,umm sorry about that. I haven't really had anything to blog about. I bought a bunch of things online in the past month, but nothing has really arrived. Except my dariya palty dye. I've never really bleached my hair blonde before, because my mum and family say that it won't suit me. But, I decided to bleach it in the end.I was originally going to do a video on my dying my hair, but I looked so freakin' weird in the video. I showed it to my best friend and she's like " you look like you are on crack!!!"and I was like  "wtf ???!".Anyway, I didn't take pictures of me dying it either cause the process is exactly the same as dying it with the other palty dye, only difference is that you also add a bleach package. I found one thing really odd about the dye though. I cut my hair quite short, to shoulder length and the dye wasn't enough!! When my hair was longer the dye was enough, there was even some left. So i'm thinking that maybe there is less dye with the bleach dye, or my hair has gotten thicker. Let's go with option number 2 :D. By the way, I also got the "Beauty Mauve". This is the first time I've found this dye. I'm guessing that it gets discontinued or it's hard to find. But none the less, I want to try the dye, but I like my hair color now and if I dye it with the purple I won't be able to dye it back easily.

So let me show you the package of the dye.

As you can see it has exactly the same things as their other dyes, but it also has a bleach package with it. Let me explain though how you mix them. You put the formula 2 in the formula 1 bottle. Shake it well, and when it's combined add the bleach package, close it mix again and then put the comb shape nozzle to the formula 1 bottle. Apply to your hair, leave it on for 25-30 minutes rinse it off. Add the serum to your hair and it's done.

My hair Before:

Extremely sexy as you can see...

So this is what my hair turned out like.

My roots are a different color than the ends of my hair because my natural hair color is nearly back. The color as you can see is almost an orang-y color. I advise using the purple shampoos that stop your hair from going brassy. Since it is a bleach, I found that by using the purple shampoos it has gone more blonde than the orange it originally was.
When I took the pictures it was the 17 of March (Cyprus's carnival) so I got made up and stuff. I was going to go with sort of a rock gyaru style, but I couldn't be arsed and it was so cold! So here is what I wore:

Excuse the mess in the background *scratches head*. By the way, you remember Yuuki right? My little German Spitz Klein dog. Well she gave birth back in November. I didn't really post any pics of the puppies cause, I forgot :D. Anywho, she gave birth to 4 puppies, 2 girls 2 boys. We gave the females away and we have the 2 males. Here are 2 pictures of how they are now:

This is Kimchi. He is kind of the loner one. He is SO BIG AND FLUFFY!!! I just want to squeeze him till he explodes!

This is Totoro (the brown thing getting eaten by Yuuki). He is such a little wus! But adorable! He isn't as big as kimchi, he has the same body shape as Yuuki but for some reason she tortures him all the time.... Any way...
REVIEW Time:
Content: 3/5, the dye wasn't enough for my hair and I had to add bleach processor is it? I don't know :/
Damage: 4.5/5 as usual, I don't find that the palty dyes destroy my hair as much as normal hair dyes, and my hair doesn't feel crispy and fried.
Color: 4.9999999/5. I really like the color. Once I dyed it, I hated it cause it was a HUGE difference from the other colors that I've dyed my hair. But I do really like it now. The only thing that I found bad is that I expected the color to be more blonde rather than orang-y.

UPDATE!
This is a quick update. I just redyed my hair with the Sparkling Blonde. The last time I dyed it it came out orange-y yellow and I believe the reason why is because I previously dyed my hair with the Bleach Brown one so it came out that way. Now that I redyed it, it came out a lovely blonde color. I also believe that they might have changed the dye because it came in a different box, and I checked and it is the Sparkling blonde so I'm not sure....

So anyway, the next few blogs I will do will be reviews on contact lenses. I'm thinking about maybe doing a make-up tutorial or hair tutorial video. If you want me to do one let me know in the comment, and what kind of tutorial^^
That's all for this blog and I will try to write more often,
 With Love,Amy

Harajuku Fashion : Types Of Kei

Hello my lovely marshmallows,
HAPPY NEW YEAR! May 2013 bring you health, happiness and love:)
Continuing...in Japan there are many fashion styles apart from Gyaru. There are also the Kei's(sounds so evil wtf?). There are many types of kei, even gyaru-kei.Kei is the fashion that is usualy worn in Harajuku in Japan ( one of the biggest fashion districts in Japan and is known World Wide) Gyaru-kei is the most basic form of gyaru style. Kei's are not gyaru though so don't get them confused.

First off Gyaru-Kei. It's the most simplest forms of kei. It's basically the gyaru fashion style. Doesn't have any specific requirements just the basics like they eyes, neat put together hair, good fashion and shoes, nails etc etc. I don't really have to detail this, you'll understand from the pictures what I mean :

Now for Gyary-O-kei, this is the male version of gyaru. Yes, there is such a thing. These are guys that are very fashionable and take care of their appearance wear perhaps make-up and are always dressed nicely. I haven't really talked about gyaru guys before, so I will do another post on Gyaru guys. Here are some pictures for now:

Now for Fairy-kei. Fairy kei in some ways is like hime gyaru. What I mean by that is, that it's very kiddy-girly like. The major difference I would say is the over-use of accessories and that you dye your hair with pastel colors; apart from that you use lots of patterns and accessories. Hime is definitely more princess like where as fairy kei is more fairy-tale like and colorful. And you have to note the excessive use of pastel colors.

If you are a fan of Japanese music, like japanese rock, you will be familiar with visual kei. It consists of striking makeup, unusual hair styles and flamboyant costumes, similar to Western glam rock and glam metal Andragyny stlyle is also a very popular aspect of the style.
There is also Anguro Kei , which is similar to Visual Kei, but they usualy wear only black(maybe a bit of white and other colors, but dark ones) I couldn't find any pictures for Anguro Kei so I just put the ones for Visual Kei.

Very accurate!

Oshare Kei, is what they call the happy-go-lucky version of Visual kei. It consists of the same style but with more bright colors rather than dark ones.

Cult Party Kei is based on the Western religion fashion style. It consists of crosses, silky white lace and very light pastel colors, usually beige, pink, white, yellow. They don't really show skin and cover up.

Mori Girl consists of flowy fabrics, usually organic fabrics such as linen, wool and cotton. The style is very close to Hobo-chic and they usually wear light pastel or neutral color clothing. They tend to wear accessories or patterns with a natural theme.

Dolly Kei is a newly created type of Harajuku street fashion. It is inspired by the middle ages and old fairy-tales. They some times wear Crosses and other religious symbols.

That's all I have today. Sorry I have't posted in a year wtf? but I've been really busy with school, and I have the immune system of a gold fish and I get sick really easily -_-''
I'm going to dye my hair soon so I'll try and review the product and maybe I'll do a how-to video ;D

BUY GYARU ONLINE!!!

Hello my lovely sunshines,
I know, I know I haven't blogged in forever, but I have an excuse. I've been really sick so blogging or even opening the laptop hasn't been a priority but I'm back and I have an awesome topic to talk about. So about 2 years ago when I first discovered the wonderful world of gyaru or as I like to call it magical-land-where-you-look-like-a-dolly-and-don't-give-a-damn-about-what-people-say-so-they-can-go-****-themselfs :). Anyway back to the topic, when I first discovered gyaru I had no idea where to buy gyaru stuff without hearing my purse cry. But after a lot of research I found a few places and I would like to share them with you and hopefully they help you out :D
First off Circle lenses. Every gyaru gal either she is a ganguro, hime-gyaru or gyaru-kei circle lens are a must have. I know that starting out with circle lenses can be a bit nerve racking. If you have never put lenses on before be patient, and I'll try to do a video on how to put on and remove lenses. So anyway, circle lenses can be a bit scary to wear, especially if you're just starting out as a gyaru. But don't worry. There are a lot of types of lenses in a shapes and sizes. You can start with smaller lenses and more simple designs and work your way up to the bigger sizes and with intricate designs. Here are a few of my personal favorite websites:
http://www.honeycolor.com/
http://speciallens.com/
http://jnkcontactlenses.com/ my first pair of lenses was from this website :D, good shipping as well ^_^

Another thing that is important for a gyaru is of course clothes. Finding Japanese clothes, accessories or make-up online can kill your budget. But I found some sites that sell gyaru clothes and ship worldwide! I'm going to put the links based on the types of clothing that they sell: [ I am not sponsored by any of the stores ( yet at least *fingers crossed they do*) and I personally like all of the stores which is why I am recommending them]

Rakuten, Galstar sells hip-edgy clothing.Reasonable price

Rakuten,DreamV sells the products in 3 categories Hime Hime gyaru dreamv
 Hostess,GlamorousGlamorous
Kirei, for more sophisticated gyaru looks Kirei all of them have reasonable prices

Rakuten,Double Heart I personally like this store cause it has EMODA! :D, has all price ranges

Rakuten, One-and-only has really cute and sexy cosplay outfits (naughty naughty :p) reasonable prices

Rakuten,Gold Stage sells really nice accessories. cheap and expensive jewelry

EMODA amazing fashion brand, hyperventilating. I'll talk about it another time. Slightly pricy stuff but very, very nice

Runway High-end fashion. Amazing pieces of clothing. Might kill you budget though...

Lizlisa, Hime-gyaru fashion. Quite pricy but super kawaii! Also has stuff for the bedroom (not in the naughty meaning ;) ) Not the most reasonable stuff I have seen, but very nice.

Shibuya 109,  is the main shopping district in Tokyo, and this is the web store for it. It has brand like CECIL Mcbee, Ank Rouge, MA*RS . Basically everything gyaru. Affordable and Expensive things

zipia it's more Ulzzang rather than gyaru since it is a Korean web-site. But still things for gyaru gals to wear. Affordable things, and a bit of everything, cute and edgy.

YESSTYLE I'm pretty sure a lot of people know yesstyle. It's kind of like an online shopping mall. You can find clothes, make-up, shoes, bags everything! Price range is from cheap to expensive.

Now, some websites don't ship out of Japan,or they only ship to the U.S.A. , and what happens when you live abroad?
TENSO is a website that gives you and ''address'' in Japan. Your stuff is sent there and the immediately is sent to your country! But there is a problem with that. It has restrictions as of which countries it ships to. So you can also use MYUS have an ''address'' in the US. MYUS ship WORLDWIDE so you won't have a problem with that.

International Stores for gyaru!!
There are many international stores when gyarus also shop in, I'll list them below and also add their online web stores if they have : ( You don't have to use these stores!)
  • FOREVER21
  • H&M
  • Chanel
  • Dolce and Cabbana
  • Dior
  • Gucci
  • GAP
  • Louis Vuitton
  • etc etc
Cosmetic brands, you can buy these online. You don't have to use these they're just preferred brands by gyarus.
  • Anna Sui
  • Jill Stuart
  • Candy Doll & Dolly Wink
  • Diamond Lash
  • Eyemazing
  • Kanebo
  • LUSH
  • M.A.C.
  • Bobby Brown
  • Rimmel
  • Revlon
  • etc etc
So that's all for now. I'll update the blog when I have new websites to add.You don't have to buy things from these brands to be gyaru. Be gyaru in your own way, that's what gyaru is about , expressing your own style.
Anyway later babes,
Amyxoxo

Fall 2012 Gyaru Trends~

Hello my little rays of sun!
I am currently watching season 6 of criminal minds and spent the whole of my Sunday morning checking up the websites for the newest Gyaru trends for September. Fall is me 3rd most favorite season, but in Cyprus we either have winter of summer, fall and spring last for about only 3 weeks, so it's either scorching hot or freezing cold -_-' , but I can take the cold so I usually go through winter wearing thick jumpers and hoodies, I despise coats! I have a weight complex as it is, and coats just add to it lol.
But moving on... I was checking up Rakuten this morning as well as Yesstyle and cheesies blogs to see what I could find and reading popteen online.

MUST HAVE COLORS: This season it's all about keeping to muted tones. Wine red is one of my favorite colors for fall. To always look chic in fall stick to warm colors with a light hint of a cool color in them.
Beautiful dress from Yesstyle, I love the back and the sweet heart neckline!

Cute jumper, good for school as well, will go nicely with tight black jeans and a nice pair on black pumps.

I love these two dresses, casual but dressy as well, Asia loves it's short dresses ( short everything, the more leg the better it seems :p), the color is perfect for fall, pair them with a nice cardigan and a flat or kitten heel and perfection.
I know I said I hate coats, but I love trench coats. I think they always look sexy and give women nice shape, no matter your size.
This dress is so cute! I love sailor dresses, and I just love them no explanation needed! Cardigan and Knit sweaters are a must in my closet.
I live in cardigans since I own A LOT of spaghetti strap tops and cardigans and I hate showing my shoulders and back ( influence of Korean fashion?) and there's something about knit sweaters that just make you want to cuddle up in a corner with hot cocoa and a book.
Now for the good part, I am a shoe whore! I love shoes, especially heels!I especially love the boots with the lace at the top, and and and I just love shoes so shh!!
I love knee high socks, but i rarely wear them cause , well i don't really wear skirts that often and I can never find any in Cyprus that I really really like.

I'll do another post soon on hair and make-up for fall so be patient and wait for that :)
Amyxoxo
